There are cheap tournaments on and off the strip. Here is a list of a few with their Buy-in’s and contact phone numbers.

This is the best site I know of for information on the Las Vegas poker/tournament scene

Poker tournament info
On this site you can search for daily tournaments with a low buy in.

The Gold Coast has a daily with a buy in of $22 that gets high marks.
